Elly Clarke's Camden Photos

London based artist Elly Clarke has been collecting personal memories of Camden locations as part of the 'Camden Encounters' project. These audio-visual recordings capture memories that have stuck to a place and remind people of a particular moment every time they return.

As part of this participatory art work Elly has also been photographing bits of Camden that spark her interest and creative curiosity.

Elly will be one of the judges in the Camden50: Inspired by Camden photo competition in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery, and here shares a few of her shots to get you thinking about how you could respond to Camden.

Three competition winners will be selected in each category: Portraits of Camden; Past Camden; I live in Camden. Share your photos of Camden using the hashtags #Camden50 and #CreativeConnections on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Alternatively, you can email your entry via

Entries received before 30 July will be entered into a draw to win one of 50 pairs of tickets to the Camden 50 summer party at the Roundhouse.
