Members of the first Camden Guiding Course run by the Camden Tour Guides Association who had passed their exams were delighted to attend a reception at Camden Town Hall, where they received their new Camden Guiding Badges by the Mayor of Camden, Councillor Larraine Revah. The new guides have spent the last year walking the streets of Camden, learning about the different areas of Camden, exploring Camden's history and undertaking practical training that allows them to interpret the streets of Camden for residents and tourists alike. Camden Guides are planning to support the Mayor's chosen charity, KIDS who work with disabled children, young people and their families. Residents and tourists can commission guides to provide entertaining and informative walks anywhere in Camden through the camdenguides.com web site.

If you are interested in developing tour guiding skills, and if you live in, work in or just love Camden, then do consider applying for the next Guiding Course that starts in September 2015. Applications close on the 31st July, and should be made through the camdenguides.com website.
