Radical Theatre walking tours
Here I am out in the sunshine sitting outside the site of the Old Bedford Music Hall in Camden Town's Arlington Road. I am trying to decide if the working class music hall theatre popular between 1850 & 1960 had any impact on the development of Britain's left-wing radical theatre movement, in which the London Borough of Camden played such a significant part during the years 1966-1988.
Come on our fascinating walk to find out and learn about the astonishing release of theatrical energy in the Borough, following the abolishment of government censorship in 1965.
